I won't wax on about how charming a host Simon is, how straightforward and substantial the breakfast is and how clean and comfortable the rooms are - others have said it much better.
My husband and I stayed there for the Goodwood Revival, so it was also spectacularly located. We had dinner all 3 nights at The Fish House, which is within walking distance, though a pretty good little hike. The dinners were excellent, but be warned - during the Revival they offer only a rather expensive Prix Fixe. Quite a good selection of choices and something different each night, but painful on the pocketbook @ £40 pp.
