“There's always a welcome at Brimfast House”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2011

Charles and Marion are excellent hosts - we stayed for the weekend of 14 - 17 October 2011, and this was the fourth visit we've made there, so if we return somewhere, you can guess that we like it! Comfortable, well-equipped rooms, it can get a bit noisy if the upstairs residents start clumping about at 4 in the morning, but the bed is huge and the bathroom is excellent. And a tasty breakfast too. The area is one of our favourite places to visit, and the good thing is, we don't need to use the car during our stay because the bus services are first-class. I can highly recommend this establishment, and like General Douglas MacArthur, WE SHALL RETURN!

“Wonderful Weekend”

We booked last minute for a weekend away. Beautiful gardens and location. Very welcoming couple, friendly atmosphere and good advice for places to visit during our stay. Beds comfy, room very clean. Breakfast lovely, with plenty of choice. Setting wonderfully quiet, but easy reach for Chichester and beaches. Very happy to book again!

“£80 per room per night is too steep”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 September 2011 via mobile

This B&B is in a beautiful rural setting close to Chichester.

However £80 was too steep for one of the "cabins" where you could hear next door's conversation and TV, and the wardrobe was a cheap open skeleton contraption. Nice and comfortable enough but not worth the money.

Breakfast was bizarre in that they did poached, scrambled and fried eggs within their menu but you could NOT change the type of egg with each type of food. E.g. You HAVE to have a fried egg with the cooked breakfast, and cannot have scrambled.

Most bizarre of all was the shouting we were given for leaving late. We had forgotten what the official check out time was so when we paid we asked if it was ok to leave at 10.30am. By the time we were out and car loaded and map checked we were driving out at 10.50am. We were in the wrong for leaving late and we fully admit that. Amazingly the owner came running up to the car, banged on the passenger window and literally shouted at us for our rudeness for just trying to drive away. We were left totally shell shocked and will not be returning.

Whilst the guests may comment the price was too steep. We would like to point out that booking in is clearly advertised as between 4.30 and 6.30pm on the day of arrival and 10am on the morning of departure. The guests were allowed access from 11 am on the saturday in order to change for a wedding as a gesture of goodwill.Last breakfast is served at 9am. They were given there bill on finishing breakfast at 9.40am approx. They new that checking out was at 10am.It is also clearly written in the room/bill etc.We agreed to extend departure untill 10.30 on their request. The 2 gentleman then disappeared on a run to collect there car from wherever they left it from the night before!.They arrived back at 10.30 to find us waiting with cleaning equipment to tidy the rooms. They said they would be 5 mins.As they freely admit they did not depart until 10.50.If they had any manners, the least they could have done would have been to return the keys and appologise for breaking there own word. So to have occupied the room for all but 24hrs and for a one night stay at a peak time.We feel they have had value for money..

“Great accommodation!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2011

I stayed here for three nights with my husband and our 6 year old son. The room was VERY spacious; had a double bed and a single bed plus lots of room. Immaculate, clean and tidy. Nice shower. VERY comfy beds. Beautiful gardens and surrounded by open countryside. The couple were extremely welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable; giving us directions, suggestions of places to visit, places to eat etc. Breakfast was delicious. A very well run B&B; I would have been happy to stay longer. And would have no hesitation in recommending it.

“Great family room and breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 July 2011

We booked for one night as we were visiting the beach as a last minute get away. The triple room that we had was excellent and a really good size, a lot of family rooms tend to be a bit too small but this was roomy with a kingsize bed and a single bed. The bathroom was very clean and had a decent shower.

Breakfast was served in the conservatory and was enjoyable and plentiful. The owner was very hospitable and friendly.
