Good, central location but the double room we stayed in had no evidence of 'new management' refurbishment at all. The loo seat was very loose and the bathroom felt less than modern. Guidance on fire exits/ gathering points was less than explicit. Breakfasts were very far from 'full English'. My wife asked for this on day one and received no egg! On day two the amount iof scrambled egg was less than a dessertspoonful! One cook/waiter served, potentially, 16 covers! He was pleasant but couldnt give attention to new arrivals to eat. There was also little time to eat your ceareal before your hot breakfast arrived. One cruet set served the whole breakfast room! Overall, the placed seemed tending towards the shabby and was definitely not worth the money.

Suffolk house hotel is one of the best hotel i chichester. My wife and myself stayed in the hoel 5 times a year. We always get welcoming greeting from the resceptio, beatiful service from the cheerful staffs, nice clean sportless room. Room has old deco but very clean. We always have a great brackfast. Service and cleanlinees improve lot since under new management. Hotel location is the best in Chichester town.

No evidence of 'New Management' . Dismal decor - Nursing Home feel. Carpet in bedroom not hoovered. Broken radiator control (radiator too hot to touch and no means of turning it off), also broken curtain pole (curtains couldn't be closed), Bottom window sash impossible to open, top of window permanently open - by about 2 feet . Headboard fell off bed . No hot water at 7.30am and still none by 8 . Greasy breakfast made with cheap ingredients served in soulless dining room overlooking unkempt garden containing rubbish. Washed towels and bedlinen laid out to dry on the carpet of an empty room (in full view to visitors at front of hotel.) Reception staff polite and tried to help but difficulties are beyond their control. The fantastic location/attractive building deserves so much better than this. Astonishing that they are charging £70 a night

We approached with trepidation reading some of the previous reviews likening this hotel to Fawlty Towers. However, the Hotel has new management that had only been there for a few weeks when we visited. The rooms are fresh, very clean and , for the price, very roomy. The staff are extremely helpful, polite and friendly. The facilities are basic but for the price and location, represent good value.

Booked Suffolk House last weekend. We always stay here when in Chichester. Large room, excellent breakfast, attentive staff, nothing seems to change; this really is a home from home as far as we are concerned. Very close to theatre, unique cinema, parks and of course shops and cathedral. We will be back next month!
