We were astounded by the high standards at this Hotel. The room was very big and so was the bathroom. Everything was clean and in good order. There was no problem accommodating our small child in an extra bed. The building and gardens are well maintained and there was great attention to detail in the rooms. There is good parking on site. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast and were spoilt for choice on the menu.
It was( literally) a breath of fresh air to find a superb hotel that was good value- so much we wish we had gone for a few more nights.

Selsey is one of those remote, peninsula towns with a curving coastline loved by birders and a hinterland full of caravan parks. In November it has a kind of out of season charm. I booked into St Andrews Lodge on the grounds of price and convenience. And I was not disappointed. I rocked up after working in the town, was greeted by the owner who was expecting me and shown my room. What I like about places like St Andrews is that they work much harder then the big hotels to deliver the same service. As a result the rooms are cleaner, the beds more attractive and the rooms better appointed.
I had a comfortable bed and a room large enough to have a walnut dresser, and oak wardrobe. There was even a dozen books in a rotating cabinet. Add a Freeview TV and a clean en-suite bathroom with all expected toiletries. Add a kettle, biscuits, tea, coffee and hot choc.

Breakfast was excellent, much better than the quick-serve muck you get in hotel chains. And it was served when I wanted it so I could get off to work on time.

We stayed at St Andrews Lodge for the weekend in mid October. My partner and I really enjoed our stay very much. The room was well decorated and very clean and spacious and the bathroom was lovely. Anne and Richard were great hosts and the breakfast was first class with a number of different options to suit anyone.
It has a great location - being close to Portsmouth, Chichester and the local seaside.
We are looking forward to visiting again in the new year.

We hired St Andrew's Lodge for Portsmouth, Southampton & Chichester Language College's team building weekend and had an excellent time there. The rooms were very nice with all mod-cons but felt traditional as well. The hotel has an excellent, well-maintained garden. The staff were superb and cetainly made sure we had a wonderful time here.
