“Chichester Central Travelodge”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

A new travelodge with a car park next door, which sadly is only free from 6pm to 8am. A good basic and clean facility within 100 metres of the Cathedral precinct and town centre. We paid £25.00 and it was a bargain. Lots of restaurants nearby, including a good lunch stop in the cathedral, and only half a mile from the festival theatre. Pallant House Gallery is even closer and should not be missed. Ideal for a short stop and there's enough to see within 5 miles of Chichester to fill 3 days with ease, wet or dry. Arundel and Portsmouth both within easy reach too.

“Very basic, but OK”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

The room was very spartan and I would definately agree with Danthetravel about the room feeling like a prison cell. However it was only meant as a cheap place to sleep so I did not feel that that was such an issue. It was basically clean (the stains on the sofa were a little off putting though). I brought my own toiletries because it says that they are not provided, there was however a bar of soap. The staff were friendly at all times. There was a bit of noise at midnight with drunken revellers outside but the hotel itself was quiet. The underground car park was fine; expensive if you wanted to stay in it during the day and limited spaces which would have been an issue if you arrive and it is full. Read your directions before heading off, do not rely on Satnav - we ended up in a housing estate and caught up in the one way system. Very central location so would definetely return.

“Try to book somewhere else first.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

This was a budget stay and it showed! The room was sparsely furnished. The beds were very small. Nasty smell in the bathroom!! And no extractor fan so the mirror was useless after a shower. Extremely long walk down to the lifts!!
This room did only cost £29 but I still expected a bit more. Great location but thats about all this place has going for it.

“Basic even for a travelodge”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

The room was basic and plain, felt like a prison cell.
The car park was strange and felt unsafe, and you have to pay.

Good location the the heart of town.

“Ideal spot in the centre of Chichester”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

Second time we've been to this Travelodge. Ideal location; couldn't be more central or closer to the cathedral and shops. Rooms are clean and comfortable but pretty spartan. Limited selection of TV and radio channels -- no Radio 4! But can't complain; it only cost us £25.

Room Tip: Each floor has a few rooms facing the cathedral.
