“Do not drive by!”

Had booked in for two nights and what a joy to find a privately owned hotel that exceeded all my expectations. The rooms were of a good size, well furnished with everything working as a guest would expect with a good comfortable bed. The staff at the hotel were all well presented, helpful and got on with their work without any obvious management presence. The food was of a good standard and fresh catering for a variety of tastes with the exception of the breakfast sausages which were not to my particular liking and the hotel would benefit from using some local butchers sausages rather than the "cardboard" variety.
The hotel was well equipped with a superb pool and spa, some gym equipment and more especially for the ladies a good selection of treatments which I am advised presented good value for money. If you are looking for a hotel in the vicinity of Chichester this is one not to miss as it represents very good value for money and does not deserve the 3 star rating being worthy of being raised.

“Lovely stay”

We stayed at the Chichester hotel for a function on Saturday night.

The hotel is really quite nice. The bar area, lobby, restaraunt and gym are all lovely. The rooms are ok, although they are looking a little tired.

The service at the hotel was excellent everyone made us feel very welcome.

The star of the hotel has to be the food. We had breakfast and dinner on two days and the food was superb throughout.

Overall we had a lovely time here and would recommend the hotel to all.

“A weekend away.”

Very happy with this hotel. Easily accessible and good location for the Weald and Downland Museum nearby. Our offer included a cream tea with bubbly. We checked in late and the hotel swapped the cream tea for wine and bubbly with the meal no problem whatsoever :) Food very good, reasonably priced and wide menu selection if a little too traditionally English. Not sure about the singer when I wish to eat in peace, but good to see 'entertainment' on offer.

Rooms well appointed, good size and in good decorative order. (Could be improved by a door chain and spyhole). Only negative point is we were on ground floor, and ceiling joists are poorly insulated. Recommend asking for a room on the first floor.

Nice leisure facilities, although we didn't use them. I would say that spa treatments were expensive compared to a full spa with more extensive facilities. Overall, very pleased and would stay here again. Staff very friendly and helpful. (Housekeeping over keen at 0930 and 0945 in the morning. We weren't due to check out till 1200 !)

Room Tip: Request upstairs rooms to reduce noice. The floorboards creak terribly. :(

My family attended a dinner dance at this hotel on January 14th 2012. The food was excellent and the staff very helpful. We had a great night. I would recomend this hotel for holding a special event or party....and very reasonably priced.

“Excellent once again”

Our second visit for an excellent Masonic Ladies Festival weekend. Dean (hotel manager) and his team did everything possible to ensure a very enjoyable experience. Nothing was too much trouble for any staff members who treated all with respect and courtesy. The food deserves a special mention as even better than last year.

One area for future attention though – some of the corridor areas, stairwells and guest rooms are starting to look tatty and would benefit from redecoration and refurbishment sooner rather than later!

That apart, nothing but praise to all and recommended once again.
