“Very welcoming”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 August 2011

Our secnd trip to the Nags Head. Very well situated, in alively part of chichester, close to the town centre, and a ten-minute walk to the theatre. Our room and bathroom were small, but spotlessly clean, although the bathroom could have done with a lookover by manageent, in that the shower screen leaked, the lavatory seat wouldn't stay up, and the shelf over the basin fell down! Nothing that a detailed inspection wouldnt get fixed. Sleep disrupted a bit by guests arriving via the fire escape in the iddle of the night, as access is not available through the bar area after hours. Wonderful, helpful, lady on housekeeping duty - couldn't do enough for us. Likewise the breakfast chef pulled out all the stops on Sunday morning when we arrived early having been mis-informed about the servie time. We left feeling that we would very happily return.

“Lovely, welcoming place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 June 2011 via mobile

Was recommended to us by friends so we booked for one night getaway. Loved it so much we stayed an extra night & booked again for end of June with our friends. The only disappointment was no cooked breakfast or evening meals because of the recent kitchen fire but we look forward to staying when its all up & running again.

“Can't wait to return”

I wanted to take this pub back home with me, the staff are lovely , very friendly.and me and my friends had the best time . The rooms are spotless with everything you need including tea and coffee making facilities, lovely clean bathroom with toiletries and fluffy large towels. The restaurant was closed for refurbishment but from the amount of customers coming in for their regular carvery etc. I believe they are very popular and have heard fab reviews. there is a traditional bar area and also a relaxing modern lounge area with tv and music . I would go back again and recommend to all .

“An excellent place to stay!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 May 2011

The Nags Head is one of the best places we have stayed. The room was clean and very comfortable. The food was exquisite!! The staff are friendly and helpful. The local area has every shop you can think of...and is a very beautiful town. Our only grouch is the parking!!! The Pub doesn't have its own parking and the nearest carpark is VERY expensive...although there is a much cheaper one a short walk away, across the road...having said that, the train station is approx a 15 min walk away. We used public transport to visit neighbouring towns during our stay, and have decided on our next visit,(Oh yes we are definately going to go back and stay again!!!) we are going to leave the car at home and take the train!!

Room Tip: we overlooked the restaurant, not too noisy.

“Well worth a visit”

If you are on a diet DO NOT stay at this hotel! The breakfasts are superb and the evening meals (especially the carvery........Go for the beef!.........out of this world!!. The rooms are smallish but very clean including the bathroom.........big towels. Try to avoid a room on the main road. A bit noisy but that was the only downside with the hotel. Godd central location for the town centre.
