“Fantastic, Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

This was our 2nd stay, the last time was 3 years ago and alot can change in that time, but it was just as lovely. Very friendly staff, clean everywhere, and very nice cooked breakfast (not swimming in fat) I think that the people that have given a poor review of this hotel must of got muddled up with another hotel.
P.S. I am not easily pleased

“enjoyable stay”

We have just returned from a two night break. Very friendly staff and in general the hotel is well run. Only ate breakfast there so cant comment on the evening meal but breakfast was hot and well cooked but not the biggest i've ever had! Although in fairness there were cereals and fresh fruit to top up on which i did. Rooms were fine and bathroom a good size with a decent shower. Cosy little bar which we spent a few hours in on saturday evening and the prices were reasonable and all drinks were served with a smile. Would recommend this hotel and we found it ticked all our boxes. Andre and Natalie, Christchurch

“Another perfect stay”

Great place to stay on the south coast. This was our second business trip in 3 months and had an excellent stay again. The staff are wonderful. Attentive, interested, knowledgeable and friendly. The food is great both at evening meals and breakfast time. The rooms are lovely, and as it is a wedding venue, they all seem to have quirky features. The added bonus is the pool and spa treatments. Next time I will definitely book a massage or facial after my 4 hour trip! Well done Angmering, hopefully I can come again! :0)

Room Tip: Rooms 202 and 204 don't have baths. If you want a bath just ask when you book, I had one on my f...

“In need of a drastic refit”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

I was looking forward to a nice spa retreat day for myself and was very disappointed. The room itself looked very nice in the photographs but in reality, the carpets were filthy and stained, the furniature was peeling away and chipped and very tired looking and the wardrobe was filthy inside. The bathrooms were brand new and delightful but that was my only good point to make. The bed was hard as a rock, I could not sleep in it. I had to call the cleaner back to clean who was less than impressed I have to say.

Carpets in the hallways were FILTHY and had not even seen a hoover and there was a smell of musty/damp in the hallways.

“COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011

Stayed 1 night 17/12. Nice quirky hotel but could have been better with just a little more effort. Room fine with newly reburbed bathroom. Nice large shower but there was also room for bath which partner would have prefered. Carpets in hallways need replacing. Evening meal good but would have prefered veg served in dishes rather than all on the plate and covered in gravy. Little breakfast menu choice and whilst good quality - portions were small. Service good throughout. Website short on useful info and well below competitors standards.
