Stayed for one night before a weekend break in Birmingham. Ideal location, however don't use google maps as it sends you off in the wrong direction. Hotel is third left off roundabout next to Morrisons,TGI Fridays, so lots of eating/drinking places around, the Two for One pub attached can be recommended, staff in there were lovely and food excellent.
Room was lovely, very clean and warm, staff were really friendly on check in, however we requested a quiet room, I am not sure if there would have been one anywhere in the hotel, there was a private function on the ground floor, the room faced out onto a very busy main road and the guests in the room next door may well have been in our room. They woke all of us in the very early hours of morning and continued to have discussions for just under two hours. That being said it would put me off staying again and that is a shame. For party animals out there or others who can sleep through anything I would recommend, unfortunately I am not one of them and couldn't wait for a good nights sleep.

“Clean and comfortable and excellent VFM”
This is a newly refurbished setup and was excellent value at £39 for the night, with breakfast an additional £6 odd. Warm, comfy, all mod cons and also seems to be an ideal spot for business meetings with breakout rooms and free wifi facilities. In warmer months guests can use secluded courtyard tables outside.

We were in Coventry for a wedding and needed to find somewhere that was easily accessible from the motorway, but also close to town. Found The Cocked Hat on late rooms, paid £30 per night for a double room. It was nothing really special but adequate for the price. We ate in the restaurant next door twice, it is a 2-4-1, we had 2 meals, side orders and a bottle of wine with change out of £20.
Really close to town, walking distance to TGI Fridays, a Morrisons store and petrol station.
If you're on a budget, don't want great luxury but want to visit Stratford-on-Avon, Motorcycle Museum or any number of things in the West Midlands this is a decent place to get your head down and get some good tucker at cheap prices.
Will stay again.
