Booked in for the weekend for a show Easy connections to New street and onto Nec. Front desk very helpful and friendly. Room basic but clean and good value.

Booked it through laterooms so only cost £44 for the night. As per other reviewer if I had paid the ROOM RATE wouldn't be happy but the area it is in would not hold a 4 or 5 star hotel so the rooms are going to be cheaper. Lots of Brown gloss and Magnolia. could smell the fresh paint. OK not a premier hotel but I found my room Clean, Confortable, Quiet Everything worked. so nothing to complain about. Staff Friendly. Breakfast was lovely. Better than I had imagined. would use again. and It only took about 10 mins to walk to the City centre maybe 15 to 20 to new street if you wanted so just don't get lost. That's when it might take an hour! Not a romantic break. just a bit of shopping and a Gig.

stayed here for 1 night 3/02/2012 .The staff were friendly & polite.We had food which was very good although not a great selection.We had room 235, which was quite large with 32" tv.However the carpet was dirty/dust on all the chairs.The bathroom was filthy(dirty floor old fashioned shower/control hanging off(imagine a greek hotel 20years ago),toilet roll holder hanging off)At the best I would give this hotel 2/3 stars the rooms are in need of a complete refurb,they are tired.One final point the rooms are in need of double glazing as traffic noise could be heard all through the night

I stopped here last year for 2 nights to do shopping and see a gig in town. I had booked online and had chosen it for its close location to the gig and for its good value. The carpets on the room were a bit dated but the bed was clean and comfy and the shower was clean and hot. The buffet breakfast was better than expected with plenty to chose from. I used the hotel car park which was locked overnight which was another bonus. If u want a luxury hotel this isn't it but if u need a clean good value with a good breakfast fill up in the morning the Paragon Hotel is ideal!
