I found the staff to be very helpful for this weekend stay in October 2011 when I visited wth friends. The ajoining rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel was only 5 minutes from the cuty centre by inexpensive taxi (£5) so we were not restricted as much as we had expected.

Lack of understanding from reception staff, after suffering a death in the family and travelling for several hours with two young children it took over an hour to check-in. Absolutely poor from a hotel group like Accor.

We stayed here on 3rd Dec as part of a party of 49. After a very slow check in got to our room and it stunk of smoke (typical inconsiderate smokers). We couldn't change as hotel was full, fair enough but it would have been nice if the cleaner had tried to freshen it up. Other party members had filthy toilets and not enough bedding. I'm presuming not enough cleaners to do a good job. On the whole though rooms good with an excellent shower.

The restaurant/bar area wasn't very appealing, right next to the main entrance and reception. The whole party were all booked in for an evening meal. It didn't take long for everyone to grab coats as it was freezing. We got some heating just as the meal came. Which I have to say was very basic but quite tasty and I enjoyed it. The service though was terrible, the 2 lads from reception serving up. Bread coming well after we had our soup and the same for gravy and the main course. It just needed extra staff to get things moving. We all felt so sorry for the waiters working so hard on reception, bar and restaurant that we had a whip round for them.

Noise wasn't a problem but a hotel like and its luck of the draw from weekend to weekend.

This could be a good cheap and cheerful place to stay but with so few staff the service is sadly lacking.

We have stayed in many Ibis hotels in both England & france & this is the only one that we will never stay in again. Check in was fine but the room!! The window would not close properly or lock & a gale was blowing through it because the rubber window seal was missing & the whole unit was held in place with gaffer tape!! Additionaly as the double glazing was ineffectual because of the missing seal & the hotel is next to the ring road the room was quite noisy.
Acomplaint to reception was not responded too untill a second complaint was made some time later. Then the receptionist in charge came to view the room & disdainfully stated that everything was ok & that the window was perfectly closed & locked despite being shown that it would not lock & could be easily blown open This in fact did happen throughout the night. The receptionist said that the hotel was full & that was it. No appology. When asked about a refund in line with Ibis policy he was too busy & we were told to ask the receptionist on duty the following morning to sort it out!
The Sunday morning receptionist was polite &quietly efficient in arranging the refund & he appologised profusely for the previous nights events (ie a typical Ibis employee)
