Needing to stay in Birmingham for a night I booked on line, this budget hotel, for my first stay at a Premier Inn. The special £29 deal was available for the night I wanted and this was for a double ensuite room with freeview TV. My wife was very apprehensive about the booking and gave me some grief about taking her to a B&B at this bottom end price.
No worries the stay was a great success, the staff were very efficient from reception to breakfast. The room was comfortable, clean, quiet and spacious. I chose not to book breakfast in advance as this was my first stay, and I was able to choose on the day between full English at £7.50 and Continental at £5.25 for which there was an extensive choice including cereals, porridge, fruit, yoghurts, croissants, toast etc.
All in all a brilliant one night stay for two persons for under £40.
Also on site was a pub/restaurant which was of a good standard and with carvery and curries at extremely competative prices.

Stayed here on 31Dec; 2011 for two nights and didnt print out my booking confirmation was overcharged when i paid on arrival made a comment to staff on desk that i though that was not what i was quoted but was told it was right, and when i checked it on net realised i had been overcharged, queried it with night staff and he said he didnt know where that price had come from and offered us breakfast on the two mornings and said breakfast ended at 1pm next morning, my partner is recovering from a tramatic accident and late breakfast seemed ideal but when we turned up for breakfast at 10 30am we were told that breakfast finished at 10am, there was another couple there that was told same from night staff, we were offered bacon and egg as everything else was finished, that evening i checked in our room to see what time breakfast finished next morning but no info; so had to go to reception and night staff didnt know but offered me a wake up call for 9am which i really didnt need only needed breakfast times. Having said all the staff were very pleasant and friendly and we enjoyed our stay .

My Mother is in a nursing home in Birmingham and as I come from Canada several times a year to see her I am dependant on staying in hotels.I always stay in Premier Inns.
In late November my husband and I were there to celebrate Mum's 97th!!!
Marie and Emily,supported by their Manager were so friendly and helpful.We were there a week and were greeted in and out of the hotel each day as if we were special!!
As we travel from afar with 2 suitcases and 2 carry on bags{we have no where to do laundry while away for 2 weeks} the first room was cramped.We were cheerfully moved the next morning when we commented on it...not complained.Due to difficult legs our room which u
make it difficult to do stairs was cheerfully changed.This is a problem with central booking that does not allow you to state needs or preferences when booking online.
I love the choice of continental or full breakfast...Don't want the full cooked every morning over a weeks stay!!

My wife and I made the latest of several visits to the hotel in December and stayed through Christmas.The management, front desk and restaurant staff were extremely friendly and very willing to help in all respects. Some of the rooms are a little cramped, I asked if anything could be done and we were moved to a bit larger room after our first night without any hesitation. The breakfasts, with "continental" and "full english" options, were very good. Towards the end of our stay the daily refreshing of our room was somewhat inconsistent. We will be returning during our next visit to Birmingham.
