This is an almost fabulous hotel that just needs a little bit of tlc to bring it back to fabulous. Just annoying little things like only one set of towels in our room, rather hard pillows and lumpy bed, broken towel rail, reading lights not working.

The food was great and the staff really friendly and helpful. The building itself has tons of character and is really interesting and located just a short walk from town centre and castle.

“Brilliant stay”

The hotel dates from 1472, as consequence it is old. The doors creak, the floors slope all over the place and the beams creak. If that had not been the case I would have felt short changed. It is full of character, atmosphere and history and that is exactly what it is supposed to be. The food is great and the people so friendly that we felt we had known them forever. For those who have complained, they should go to a bland Premier Inn or Travel Lodge and not a real 15th century inn. Will definitely be back!

“November in Warwick”

I am absolutly not going to say 'quirky'...I was, but too many people have beaten me to it !
The bedroom was small, but the bed was comfortable and the shower was new and worked really well. The food was good, the beer was even better. It looks like an ancient inn from the outside and is decorated inside to match. It felt comfortable, slightly scuffed around the edges and ,[yes, alright] it's quirky !

Room Tip: Check the heating.

“Lovely, quirky building”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2011

With not an even floor in the place, this hotel is quirky, & obviously full of history.
We stayed in the four poster bed room, which was lovely & comfy.
Full English breakfast was exactly that & made fresh.
Overall a lovely stay :)
