I am absolutly not going to say 'quirky'...I was, but too many people have beaten me to it !
The bedroom was small, but the bed was comfortable and the shower was new and worked really well. The food was good, the beer was even better. It looks like an ancient inn from the outside and is decorated inside to match. It felt comfortable, slightly scuffed around the edges and ,[yes, alright] it's quirky !

With not an even floor in the place, this hotel is quirky, & obviously full of history.
We stayed in the four poster bed room, which was lovely & comfy.
Full English breakfast was exactly that & made fresh.
Overall a lovely stay :)

Built in 1470 this is a genuine Tudor inn. Rooms are spacious nicely furnished and period. Staff keen to please, location right opposite the castle, if you love history stay here

we stayed at this lovely inn,as part of our honeymoon.staff were nothing but so friendly and helpfull.we loved our room with all it's old features,food was very very good,breakfast excellent.also loved our experiance with jenny the ghost,who didn't like us taking pictures!!!, big thank yu to all the staff who made us feel so welcome.would love to go back again.
