We stayed here for one night only on our way back from an overseas holiday. We did not have great expectations and were therefore not too disappointed by what we found. On the minus side the double room was small, the bathroom tiny, the TV ancient and reception poor. All had recently been given a lick of paint but this was really insufficient to relieve the dreariness of the decor (torn linings on the curtains, and the carpets outside the room had flakes of dry paint everywhere that no-one had bothered to hoover up). On the plus side it was not expensive at £59 bed only for the night in a double (although the Internet was showing it at £49 when I looked earlier that day). The towels were very nice and top of the range, the water was hot and the bed was reasonable. Location was good and the building itself had some character. Overall this hotel seems to specialise in low-end conferences (lots of conference rooms with cheap and uncomfortable looking furniture) and is not suitable for more than a night or so as a stopover for private travellers
