Stayed here on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with my partner and the in-laws. Rooms very comfortable, clean and ours was very large. Staff very friendly and helpful. Free wifi available in the lobby area was a nice touch - chargeble in bedrooms. Breakfast was well laid out and a nice surprise as Holiday Inn Express only used to offer continental breakfast, but now they include Sausage, scrambled eggs and baked beans. This made the rate paid even better value for money (saved us over £15 per couple against staying at Premier Inn, where you have to pay for breakfast.

I agree with some other reviewers about the TV's being small, I asked about this when I stayed and they mentioned that the company was rolling out new LCD TV's in its other hotels and they were due to get them in 2012 (heres hoping they do!)

A couple of reviewers have mentioned the noise from the motorway - yes it is next to the motorway but the rooms we occupied had both double glazing and secondary double glazing and we didnt hear much at all - would have heard much more noise in a city centre!!!!!

I was very pleased with the amount we paid - and yes like another reviewer, we booked well in advance and received 20% off there rates.

Only stayed one night, room small but clean and cosy, bed very comfy. Bathroom.... Only had shower and leaked water everywhere. Not much around and a few miles from warwick, hotel staff very good, but seemed to work long hours as the same girl was on reception whenever we passed by. Seemed to have a problem with the air con, room temp settings....... Breakfast, free and buffet with plenty of options available. Good for a stop over.

We stayed here on route to the Lake District for New Year and after a day at Warwick castle. We usually stay in a Premier Inn on the motorway so were interested in how the two would compare.
Firstly the room, although clean was very small as we had our 3 year old with us and once the sofa bed was made up, there was little room for anything else. The bathroom was modern but had no bath which for us travelling with a small child was a bit of a pain! The bed was also quite uncomfortable.
Breakfast the next day which was included in the price which was a bonus and consisted of the usual toast, fruit, muffins, yoghurt etc with scrambled eggs, beans and sausages available from the hot plate. To be honest, it didn't look very appetising so I made do with toast and tea which was fine but not as good as the premier inn where your food was freshly cooked to order.
All in all. it was an ok experience but I would definately choose the Premier Inn next time. Comfier bed, better telly, more room and fresh breakfast.
One plus side, Porridge Pot pub next door does a great carvery!!

I have stayed more or less 5 days a week at this hotel for the last 3 months i have seen the staff come and go who have always been excellent. It has always been clean and tidy, the only variables are the strength of the showers which vary room to room. The only let down is the room heating which is not great as you can only have it warm with the aircon on which means a noisy fan and a cold reception when you walk in as it only comes on with your room card.
