We recently stayed 1 night at the Aurora in Stratford and believe me 1 night was enough!
The tiled entrance hall hadn't seen a mop in months, cobwebs were everywhere and the loo in our room hadn't even been flushed - and why the toilet roll holder was positioned at a height of 5ft totally baffled us!
Staff, who didn't speak a great deal of English simply could not care less and clearly had not heard of customer service. They were extremely elusive and getting their attention required us to shout from the hallway until someone arrived.
At breakfast we were offered tea or coffee and expected that when it arrived we would be given a choice of food - how wrong. A plate of sausage (it was off and inedible), a rasher of bacon, egg, tomato and mushrooms were placed in front of us as was some very cold white toast. Just as well we aren't vegetarian. The 'waitress' then disappeared and that was the last we saw of any staff even when we came to leave.
The owner of the Aurora either needs to get to grips with the staff and the facilities on offer or simply cease trading. The Aurora is absolutely awful and has nothing to recommend it.
