we recently enjoyed a lovely stay overnight in stratford for a family party and the guest house had been recommended by a friend. nice atmosphere and clean room with all the comforts of home. the owner tim was helpful and knowledgeable about the town. great location too! easy parking that was secure at the rear of the property and to cap it all a great full english !! well done tim...keep up the good work, no wonder you are always so booked up !! we will definately be back !

We found Virginia Lodge very friendly and convenient to stay in when visiting Stratford on Avon in April. It is close to the town centre so walking anywhere was easy and we had a carparking space in which to leave the car. It is a family run B&B and Tim (the owner) was very helpful. We enjoyed a full English Breakfast, our room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. We would most certainly stay there again!

Rooms in need of GOOD clean. Found a pair of someone elses shoes under chair with dust all over them. Only offered eggs and toast for breakfast instead of the full English supposedly on offer. On leaving we asked for a receipt but were told that they didnt give them. Not to mention no change was provided when paying the final bill. Not bothering to fight about it we left in disgust. It was not a tip Tim and definately not a 4 diamond stay. There are plenty of other B & B's in the area and would not recommend this place.

Booked an ensuite single & when I got there, no one was there. Was a note on the door to go next door for my key. Was led up to my room by an unknown woman and low and behold, my ensuite bathroom was down steps in another hallway. As I was only staying 1 night I didn't make a fuss. Also, my room was quiet and quaint but there were also repairs to the walls that were definitely needed.

There was nothing about the city in my room and I had to go outside to find Tim to ask how to work the TV.

Overall, I doubt I'd stay there again as there are an abundance of B&B's on the street & would try another 1 to see if I actually got the kind of room I booked!
