Not too bad overall.

Positives...

Our room, room 7, was large, tea and coffee tray was provided, frienddly staff, excellent location, only 5 minutes walk to the town centre, licencensed bar, although we diddn't use it. Good hoice at breakfast, including a range of cooked options asal alternative to a full english.

Negatives.....

Room was deccorated in an old fashioned style, and while it was not dirty or in need of replacement, the style made the room feel dated and old.

We were booked to stay in another hotel in Stratford, but they lost our booking - as it was May Bank Holiday most other hotels were fully booked. However, we found Craig Cleeve who had a room for us!

The room was clean, overlooking the quiet main road, the bathroom was basic - but again clean and nice! We were only in the room for a few hours - but it was perfect for a sunny break in stratford upon avon - within very easy walking distance from the town centre!

We have stayed at the Craig Cleeve well over 20 times over the last four years. Stuart and Julie are the perfect hosts and a lovely couple. Rooms comfortable and breakfast excellent and only a 5 min walk from the town centre.

An excellent private hotel close to the town centre and theatre.
Adequate parking in a very busy county town is a real plus;the welcome is lovely,the rooms well appointed and the breakfasts (both service and content) are beyond reproach (perfect poached eggs are not as easy to find as they ought to be - but they are here).
The owner is a mine of information about local considerations - including which of the towns restaurants are worth a visit - and can offer incisive insight into the RSC/Town interface.
