Twice I walked to the door but returned immediately to ask Stuart another question and he was already back watching TV with some other people- didn't show any interest. We were dissapointed with this accommodation. The room was very small but had a big bathroom.
The bedroom hadn't been cleaned as there were potatoe crisps on the floor. The bathroom was disgusting all the sills were filthy - I got the bathmat slightly damp and washed the sills in places and left it for him to see and the dirt that came off you could see it hadn't been cleaned for a very long time. The bathroom it self needed a good sprouse up - it looked very tired. There were also cobwebs around. The good aspects of this property it was in a good location and there was good parking space. Also a nice breakfast. We didn't ask for a second night - we moved on.
When I told Stuart about the dirty room he didn't seem too pertubed - even when I said I would comment on Trip Advisor. His reply to that was I don't take any notice of them!! I asked for a reduction and he said we don't work like that so I took off 4 pounds and he accepted it.

The location is good just 2 mins walk over the river into the town but the whole place needs a good clean, if it wasn't for the new folded towels on the bed when we arrived I would have thought they hadn't cleaned our room (toothpaste on the basin, peeling wallpaper, dust and cobweb's everywhere) I didn't have a shower either because it wasn't clean. Stuart the owner could not be more helpful and the breakfast was good but wouldn't stay again. You have been warned!

We stayed in Stratford for one night and the great thing about Craig Cleeve was that it took bookings for single nights (as most B&B's have a 2 night minimum policy- and we didnt want to stay for 2 nights). It is in a great location with sufficient parking- It is a 5 minute walk from the RSC theatre and all the shops and restaurants. The owner was extremely welcoming when we arrived and allowed us to check in early. The room was very comfortable and clean and a complimentary bottle was wine was a nice touch. Breakfast was lovely and very filling. This B&B was great value.

Positives...

Our room, room 7, was large, tea and coffee tray was provided, frienddly staff, excellent location, only 5 minutes walk to the town centre, licencensed bar, although we diddn't use it. Good hoice at breakfast, including a range of cooked options asal alternative to a full english.

Negatives.....

Room was deccorated in an old fashioned style, and while it was not dirty or in need of replacement, the style made the room feel dated and old.
