Pleasant stay at this hotel but some of the staff were rather abrupt - feels like a business without the caring touch.

A distinctively average hotel, which hardly made may feel like staying there again,especially as it took me 30 minutes to check out.
The car park is tight and difficult to find a space if you arrive late, the staff are friendly but are stretched in the reception area and the whole place including the rooms need modernising.
The Breakfast was waiter served rather than buffet and did not live up to expectations. There is a bar near reception for residents and passing trade, but I suspect there is not enough encouragement for passers by to drop in.
The location in terms of the center of Stratford is good, but on a main road. It is better to have a room that is not at the front.
I am not sure what the competition for Hotels is like in Stratford, but maybe the location of the Grosvenor maintains trade, but I for one will sadly be looking for somewhere else next time.

Very nice welcome after parking in a very tight car park - we got the last space available. We were attending a private party on a Saturday night. The receptionist was excellent, happy and helpful and made you feel very welcome. The room was OK. Noting more. A little tired I suppose. The radiator was cold and hence the room was cold - it was January after all. On enquiry with reception we were told that the heating would come on at 5.00pm - in January!! Anyway, they siad they would switch it on immediately and it still didn't warm up our radiator - they eventually supplied an electric heater, or the room would have been freezing. I am sure they knew the radiator didn't work all along. Had a private room for dinner with a number of colleagues - that room was cool as well. However, the food was very good as was breakfast the next morning. I would stay here again as long as the price was right and it was summer time.

This was our second visit and not disappointed again. Arrived early was able to park the car in Hotel Car park so could start our visiting of the town early. Greeted by receptionist who was really helpful and given room key. Room was spotless, if anything it was too warm. booked a double room and we were really satisfied, bed was very comfortable, the only downside I thought was the bathroom was very clinical, but had everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent both food and service. Will definately be back.
