“This Hotel obviously thinks families like disgusting rooms”

Beautiful hotel lobby and surrounding interior only wish we could have had our beds in the entrance lobby! We were placed in a family room 1 double bed and one single bed in the 4th wing (sounds impressive -NOT) the room was not very clean the carpet needed hoovering the bathroom was a disgrace paint peeling off of walls window sills all dirty cement bits on floor where tiles old and toilet that didnt flush properly. I spoke to reception and thy told me to mention it to the duty manager who was not available (funnily enough) so I spoke to the manager on duty the next morning before breakfast who looked at me as if I had two heads and how dare I complain it is after all a 4* hotel (I told him I wouldnt give our room a 2*) and he would pass my coments on to maintenance and nothing more for the money you pay this hotel room was appalling.

“Stag Weekend”

We have just returned from the Grovenor from a stag weekend and the staff in it could not be any better.Drink is very cheap rooms are tidy the only down fall is the breakfast.You only get toast and cereal no fry up after a good booze up.It is in a very quite area but very close to the city centre approx 5 minutes in the taxi.
