I and my partner booked a 1 night stay here which cost £55 for a double with NO breakfast! The owner wanted the money up-front which seemed a bit odd at the time but I gave him it. The pub is just off the main road and has a kids playground at the back, but nothing to shout about, in fact it was a bit tatty. The inside of the pub is o.k and has a restaurant but we didnt use it. The room itself was basic but clean and seemed ok for what we paid but you dont get breakfast.
The reason I am writing this is to warn people not to stay here, the main reason being that while we were trying to sleep the owner below was drinking and playing very loud music until 5.30am. I couldnt get him to stop as the pub was locked and the music was so loud that he couldnt hear me knocking on the window outside. As the access to the rooms are from an outside stairway which is very tatty and seemed dangerous to walk on, there was no way i could get his attention. Finally the music stopped at 5.30(so managed 2 hours sleep at the most) only to find that it started up again at 8 am! Again i tried to see if i could see anyone through the window and knocked but didnt have any luck.
In the end we had to post the keys through the front door letter box and left.
Please dont bother with this place if you need to sleep.
