“What a wonderful find!”

We only stopped one night at Bloodstock Barn on our way back home from Wales - I wish we could have stopped longer. Lovely welcome and the room was much better equiped and decorated than many 4* hotels. Lovely room with a fridge with fresh milk and cost price drinks - your own mini-bar. Bathroom was a real treat with a walk in shower, robes and a basket full of things you might forget and need.

Breakfast was a lovely - we all shared one table with the doors open onto the garden (watched attentively from the doors by the lovely dogs). The quality of the food at breakfast was fantastic - Black Bacon and vine roasted tomatoes - yum.

If you're looking for somewhere to stay in the area - I doubt you'll find better.

“Comfortable B&B but beware of distance from Newmarket racecourse”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 July 2010

Stayed for one night for the races. Beware that B&B a £20 taxi ride from Newmarket each way. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed the fresh fruit salad as one of the breakfast options. Could breakfast time on a weekend be a bit later?

“Stunning accommodation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 June 2010

We stayed at the Bloodstock Barn for 2 nights with our 2 greyhounds. The room was beautiful, the bed one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in. The quality of the furnishings and linen are the best. Breakfast was excellent.
Would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

“couldn't be better”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 April 2010

It is a lovely B&B. We had a very nice, clean room with a large comfortable bed. The en-suite was everything it should have been with a nice warm power shower. They deserve their breakfast award as there is a wide choice of excellent food, I especially loved the “black bacon”, and you can have fresh fruit salad and freshly squeezed orange juice every morning. Bruce was friendly and helpful but Mary didn’t even come in to greet us once. If you are staying here we can strongly recommend the old plough restaurant!

“Bed and Breakfast at its finest,”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 March 2010

Its all you want from and bed and breakfast establishment. The Bloodstock Barn is clean, fresh, well heeled and offers a wonderful range of the best breakfast that I have sampled. Indeed it puts a lot of 5 star hotels to shame. Alongside this the owners offer a very warm welcome and the prices are very reasonable.
