I've been here several times and never been let down. The food can vary slightly but only between excellent and good. It's more expensive than standard pub food but the extensive menu is worth the extra.

What really makes this place worth a visit is the ambience and great staff.

I didn't stay here so can't comment on the rooms. Worth noting is the Shenston Holiday Inn ten minutes taxi drive away. You can get really cheap advance rooms

Stayed at this hotel with my family and the man that checked us in was polite and he showed us to are bedroom when we opened our door our bedroom had a four poster bed we had a room at the front with views over the garden. The hotel is in a lovely location and has a lovely garden

Just back from a weekend at The Hedgehog - thoroughly enjoyed it. Room was good size -had a cottage feel. Clean with good size wardrobe with plenty of hangers and lots of drawer space.
Downstairs in the bar there was a good atmosphere - appears to be very popular as over our three night stay there were loads of the tables reserved. We ate at the inn on two of our three nights and we were not disappointed with the food - both starters, main course and puds were delicious.
Breakfast was continental style - more than adequate but have to say this morning seemed to be a little chaotic - don't know if the regular staff were off but things didn't appear as well organised as Saturday and Sunday - however nothing that couldn't be sorted very quickly.
The grounds/gardens were extensive and ideal if you have children - also ample parking. We will definitely return to the Hedgehog if we are in the area again.

Positive: Staff friendly; comfortable accommodation.
Negative: Dirty glasses, plates etc were left on the tables for up to an hour or longer; annoying dog that barked incessantly until his owner (a local) returned from getting another pint at the bar inside; dirty glasses stacked on the bar; one person on the bar taking food and drinks orders.
