Our stay at this hotel in October for two nights was a last moment idea and we did not know what to expect. When we arrived, we found that the location was perfect. We only had to walk accros the road and we were on the green in front of the cathederal. The hotel is very picturesque and the room, if a little small, was clean and comfortable with every thing we needed, plenty of tea and coffee provided. The breakfast was very good with a menu to choose from for cooked breakfasts and a buffet for cerials, fruit juices and so on. The dining room was made even more welcoming by a log fire which was lit in the morning.The most striking thing about our stay at The White Hart was the care we recieved from the staff who were all very pleasant and helpful. City centre parking behing the hotel was a real bonus and we did not need to drive for the whole of our stay as the hotel is so central. I would reccommend this hotel to anyone.

From the moment we hit the front desk until the time we left our stay was enjoyable. Staff friendly and try to make your stay memorable. Room refurbished, clean, comfortable plenty of space. Breakfast lovely, tables nicely laid out, lovely selection of cereals, juice, fruit etc. plus beautifully cooked breakfast to order. We would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone. On site parking good and free wifi fast.
Take no notice of its two star rating, this is a great place to stay. We paid 60 pound and this was very good value for our money. Location is perfect to explore the city and some of the main attractions such as the Bishops Palace.

Stayed here for two nights and although cathedral is just out of sight, the location is great especially the availability of private parking so close to the city centre. The garden of the sister hotel over the road is a great place to eat, drink and view the cathedral across the green. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast fine if a full English was required ! Rooms appeared to be being updated - ours was small but comfortable. The entrance area could do with some TLC

I stayed in the hotel for 4 nights from 23rd to 27th May 2011, I have never stayed in a hotel like this in my life it has been a great time - I would go back the first chance to get away from it all. The staff have been great, the room no. 2 that I stayed in was very clean, the breakfast was stop on and so was the dinner in the evening
