“An alternative weekend”

We arrived at the lovely Glastonbury White House after an exhilarating January day exploring the Somerset Levels, walking and birdwatching. We were cold and tired and it was marvellous to receive such a warm and friendly welcome from Carey. The house was wonderfully warm and cosy too, and it was spotlessly clean and tidy. Carey gave us loads of helpful information about pubs, restaurants and places to visit in and around Glastonbury, and we enjoyed a very relaxing break. The cooked vegetarian breakfast is superb!

“The brilliant Glastonbury White House”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

My partner and I spent two nights last week at the magnificent Glastonbury White House and had a truly fantastic stay. We thoroughly enjoyed Glastonbury but the real highlight was Carey’s (the White House’s owner) beautiful house which, like the town, was bursting with character. Carey herself is an excellent host who made us feel very much at home and was full of knowledge and advice as to what to see and do and where to eat and drink.

The ethos of the house was another element that genuinely added to the cosy and warm atmosphere with it being fitting to Glastonbury and refreshing to find such a lovely place underpinned by an ethical approach. The fair trade soaps and organic bed sheets and towels (to name but a few things) were one of many personal touches that added to the uniqueness of the White House that seems increasingly difficult to find these days.

If you are looking for anywhere to stay in Glastonbury don’t look any further than the White House. You will come away feeling completely unwound and reluctant to leave. Although we have already explored most of Glastonbury we are already planning our next trip to visit wider Somerset and will unquestionably use the White House as our base. It is a true gem.

“Return to our idyll.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 November 2011

We have stayed at Carey's delightful B&B three times now and both rooms are a pleasure to stay in. The decor is very tasteful, the bedding and towels clean and fresh and Carey herself is as attentive and helpful as could be without being over-bearing. The White House is only five minutes walk from the high street but is located in a quiet side road. Once again we opted for the lovely breakfast left by the mysterious fridge fairy. This is a great option if you like to get up at leisure and have breakfast in your own room. A truly idyllic island of relaxation.

My partner and I had a lovely stay in the Master Bedroom.. When Carey showed us to the room we both went 'WOW' ..
Carey is such a lovely lady and I doubt if there is a nicer place to stay in Glastonbury.
The whole house was spotless and we cannot wait to return !!!

Room Tip: Both bedrooms have seperate bathrooms but privacy screens are provided.. We found this was better th...

“Perfect place to stay.....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2011

This is a really fantastic option when planning to visit Glastonbury. A cute, stylish and boutique-style B+B within a stones throw of the town centre. Room is spacious but cosy and the bathroom is simply stunning. Carey was so accomodating and more than happy to help with suggestions / directions etc. The breakfast was a lovely special thing to do also. Thanks Carey for making it so nice, my girlfriend really loved it.
