“Lovely apartment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

We are staying in a 2 bedroom apartment, spacious area, flat screen TVs in living room and bedroom, milk and cereal ready in kitchen, a nice bathroom (but no hot water for one of our bathroom), receptionists were friendly and helpful, near to Bath centre and car park, this apartment was our best place to stay during our UK trip!

Dislike the payment system, didn't accept credit card without 3D authentication, we need to wire the money through bank, which need another 20 pounds handling fee.

“Lovely apartment,great location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

Will definetly look for 'Saco' apartments again, much nicer than some four star hotels I have stayed in. Tastefully furnished, flat screen TVs in living area and bedroom, really comfy bed, a decent hairdryer and a decent iron (nice change from most hotels!) Nice touch of a pint of milk in the fridge and tea, coffee and cereal. Bathroom was nice with a good shower, nice toiletries and gorgeous huge fluffy towels. Receptionist was friendly and helpful. Location was great, right in the centre of Bath and car park a few minutes away. Well done Saco and thanks for a problem free weekend!

“Great alternative to a hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

Excellent place to stay. The apartments are very central to Bath, within walking distance of the rail station and most of the city attractions, eg the Therma Spa, Bath Abbey, the Pump Room. Our studio apartment had a kitchen which provided the option of eating in with local specialties, and when we arrived it was stocked with milk etc to get us started. The staff were friendly and helpful. We booked at the last minute and found this very well-priced as an alternative to staying at a hotel.

“Bring it back!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

These were the words that rang in my ear throughout my stay. In the morning it was pouring outside and there was a SACO unbrella in the stand. "Please may I borrow an umbrella?" I asked. "Only if you promise to bring it back!" I looked at her - bemused. She said "Well we have lost so many umbrellas through other people not bringing them back!" NOT the service I expect from this company.
Booking process - fine - but we could have done without the incessant telephoning to take the money from 2 weeks before we arrived. Debt collection? We think not.
The apartment was clean and the amenities within it were fine. The night receptionist was not available when we arrived but he was friendly and welcoming once we contacted him.
There are no cleaning materials and I wanted to wipe the surfaces down before I left.
The internet was chargeable which was another downer, I know of other apartments where I have stayed where it is free.
All in all an "alright" experience but the rude day receptionist should be taught some manners, and if this is an example of SACO getting too complacent and therefore forfeiting customer service - we would go elsewhere next time if it doesn't improve.

Hello BGC London,

Thank you for your review and appreciate all feedback. I am glad you liked the apartment and you found the night receptionist friendly however, I was disappointed to hear of the experience you had with our day receptionist; this is most unusual as she normally gets many compliments on her customer service skills. I will discuss the issue with her to ensure this does not happen again.

I am sorry you felt we pursued you for payment, SACO’s payment policy is to take payment at the time of booking to ensure the booking is guaranteed for you as soon as possible and we were simply following up on this.

With regards to the cleaning materials, we stock each apartment with 2 cleaning cloths and a tea towel (located under the kitchen sink), we always double check each apartment before guests arrive to ensure they are fully stocked so I must apologise that this was missed on this occasion.

Once again I am truly sorry SACO Bath did not meet your expectations during your visit, should you ever have a requirement for serviced apartment accommodation anywhere else in the UK or the world please do contact me personally so you can experience what else we can offer which I hope will restore your faith in SACO.

Kind regards

“Great location and family friendly apartment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 December 2011

We chose SACO Bath for our half term trip to visit the historic city of Bath. The 2 bed apartment was ideal for our family of 4. It was a great alternative to a city centre hotel.

Great location in walking distance of all the sights, bars & restaurants.

Very helpful staff on reception. Thank you.
