“Best HI We have stayed in”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Right from our arrival the staff made us welcome and we on hand to help. The bed was very comfy a problem we find with many hotels. Plenty of info to help us enjoy our stay in Bath. Plus the breakfast was excellent-- food hot and plenty of choice. WE shall be going back in March with our 2 grand Children to visit Longleat. Highly recommend this hotel

Room Tip: 244 was excellent no outside noise, and no noise from the one nearby room

Dear Mr Trigg,

Thank you for such a fantastic review of our hotel. All of our staff work extremely hard to help all guests have an enjoyable stay with us, it is good to know that they were able to be of assistance to you. They all pride themselves in being knowledgeable of Bath & surrounding areas, thus resulting in guests not needing to visit the tourist information centre in the city.

It also pleases us to see our breakfast met your needs; all hot items are replenished regularly to ensure they are to the best of standards for all guests no matter what time of breakfast they wish to eat.

We shall be looking forward to your visit with us in March. Please be aware Longleat Safari & Adventure Park only open weekends between 25th February – 18th March, then daily from 24th March through to November. I would also recommend booking with us sooner rather than later as March is a very busy month for us. Please feel free to call 01225 303000 and we will be more than happy to make this reservation for you.

Yours sincerely,

Lisa Franklin

“A good place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

This place was a pleasant surprise for us. We were expecting a 3 star edge of town property (which it probably is) but got a genuine 4 star service. The front desk ladies make this place. They are quick, friendly and no fuss at doing their jobs. They were always polite to us and helped us even for just a one night stay. Well done to you all.

Rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet. A good Indian restaurant across the road was recommended to us by the front desk and it was great. Parking was not free but cheap and right out front.

Breakfast was an Express buffet and we all enjoyed it and it was complimentary. The croissants were served warm = +++++

Overall good value with young fun staff who are good at their jobs.

Recommended.

“Brilliant break!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

Visited Bath for the first time in mid January. We chose this hotel having stayed in other group hotels before. Hotel is clean, comfortable and quiet, we had a room on 1st floor and had total peace and quiet every night. Bedroom and bathroom were perfectly maintained, as was everywhere in the hotel. Only gripe was at breakfast one morning when the kitchen had run out of butter, we had to ask for forks and wait for scrambled eggs. It was not busy but could have been just one of those days? Hotel is a good 15 minute walk from Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths, so we never used car throughout our stay. £4.50 per day parking fee at hotel is fair. Like other hotels of this type there is a constant turnover of guests but all the staff were pleasant and professional. 42 inch TV was brilliant in room as were tea and coffee making facility. We will return to Bath and this hotel without hesitation later in the year.

Room Tip: Ground flloor rooms on front and side face car park and the smokers congregate there

I will have great pleasure informing our housekeeping team and maintenance technician of your review, as I know they will be thrilled with your comments.

Please accept my apologies with regards to breakfast; I can assure you that this is not our usual standard of performance and I will be having a meeting with our breakfast assistants to ensure this does not happen again.

I am pleased you liked our new LCD TV’s, they have recently been installed with Freeview, enabling guests a wide option of channels.

“Good basic hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

The holiday inn is a 10 minute walk from the main centre of bath. The surrounding area doesn't have much. There is a great Indian restaurant across the road as well as a sainsburys and a cemetery next door. However it is clean and simple and does the job. The bus leaves across the road into the centre every 10 minutes so that is good. Wifi is only free in the lobby. Breakfast was very tidy and adequate.

Dear Emma,

Thank you for your positive review; it pleases us to see all of our hard work is valued. As you have mentioned we are not located directly in the city centre but close enough for a short walk or bus ride, thus enabling guests to park in our on-site secure car park and not worry about driving around a very congested city centre.

It is also good to see you were able to visit one of our local restaurants and have a great time; we appreciate guests feeding information back to us with regards to restaurants, as this then helps us assist our future guests.

I am pleased to see you found our breakfast to be tidy and adequate; all of our breakfast assistants try their utmost to provide the best complimentary express start breakfast to a guest’s day. WIFI is complimentary within the great room area for up to 6 hours per day, with the option of a chargeable connection within bedrooms. We also have a computer located in the reception area for guests to use that may not have access to a laptop.

I hope we are able to welcome you back in the future, thank you again.

Yours sincerely,
