“perfect weekend!”

My boyfriend and myself decided to spend the weekend in bath to celebrate our one year anniversary, we made the mistake of not booking anywhere and assuming we could find something when we arrived. We found out it was the six nations and bath is a three month advance booking busyness so We popped into loch fyne to ask if they knew of anywhere, we were greeted by one of the most friendliest helpful people. After sometime we were told that marlborough house had vaccancies. Upon our arrive we was greeted by peter, the owner, he made us feel welcome and provided us with lots of information on where to eat and what to do. We took his advice in eating out at rustico`s, if you love home made italian food, its a must! The evening was a snowy one, stopping all taxis running but again peter came to our rescue and had booked us a taxi within in minutes (wed spent the last 20mins with no luck!)
The room was clean, cute with all the ammenities you could want! We love the mini bar!
Breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit, a lovely cooked breakfast. We couldnt of asked for more.
Everyone at this bnb is welcoming, friendly and willing to go that extra mile to make sure yoyr stay here and in bath is perfect, they even helped jump start our car!
If your looking for a warm, friendly, lovely bnb then this is the place to stay. This made our weekend perfect and we couldnt of asked for more. :-)

“Perfect weekend!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

Marlborough House had already been recommended to us before we booked - so that was a great start. We were greeted by Peter and his lovely ladies and shown to our excellent rooms - including a bottle of sherry! There were 12 of us in the party and everyone had such a great time. Lilly hosted an amazing breakfast. We had some great tips and recommendations on where to visit on our short stay. Peter and co. made it a very enjoyable weekend.

“Lovely house, great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

We have just returned from a fabulous 3-night stay at Marlborough House and couldn’t fault it. We were greeted by Peter, the owner, who was very friendly and provided us with lots of information on what to see and where to eat in Bath. Lilly, who takes care of everyone at breakfast, was a joy. Very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for her. Our room (No 7), although small, was quite adequate for our needs. It was very clean, tastefully furnished and remarkably quiet considering we were near a main road. Especially liked the organic toiletries and loved the complimentary sherry too! The breakfasts were excellent and they were able to cater for my dietary requirements (gluten-free) without any problem. Location-wise we couldn’t have been better situated; just 3 minutes from The Crescent and only a 10 minute walk from the city centre. We didn’t use our car at all as everything we needed was within walking distance. All-in-all we had a fantastic stay and will definitely go back.

My partner and I had an extremely pleasant break staying at Marlborough House. Excellent location. Extremely friendly staff and breakfasts that were flawless every morning. A charming building with comfortable beds, exceptional service, and a warm and easy ambience throughout.

I would certainly return to this wonderful gem at the nearest opportunity!!

“highly recommended!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

We stayed at this guest house for a weekend and it was all very good. The owner and the staff was very hospitable during our stay. The owner recommended us brilliant restaurants and guided us where to go in Bath.. Although it is a tiny town, it was very good to get some recommendations as we did not know much about Bath.
Nice food, lovely bottle of sherry, clean and nice rooms.. Great for a weekend getaway!
