I was looking for a comfortable place to stay for a week in Bath, near the centre of the city. I wanted somewhere that reflected Bath's history, so I decided against staying in a modern, anonymous hotel and chose the Windsor Guest House. And I wasn't disappointed! (Four minutes' walk takes you right into the heart of Bath.) When booking, I asked for a quiet room, and that is exactly what they gave me. It was a superior double room and was at the very top of the house. It was charmingly decorated and furnished, with a very nice en-suite bathroom. It had everything I needed - two armchairs, a desk, free wifi, a television, air conditioning, iron, hairdryer, and a kettle with plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits.
The Windsor Guest House is a Grade I listed building, in what I have seen described as one of the most beautiful and imposing boulevards in Europe, and there are plenty of architectural details to admire, such as the fantastic plasterwork around the ceilings downstairs and the lovely staircase. I loved being in such beautiful Georgian surroundings.
The breakfasts are delicious, and especially the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, which I was in danger of becoming addicted to. The staff are friendly and helpful, there is a nicely relaxing atmosphere, and my entire stay was delightful. Would I go back? You bet!

What a lovely review, thank you so much. I remember this lady very well, she was a joy to have stay with us and she was addicted to the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs! I am delighted that she chose to stay with us rather than some modern, anonymous chain which could have been anywhere. We would welcome you back with open arms and thanks again for the delicious bread which my husband devoured the same day!
