we stayed at this hotel for my girlfriends birthday. we had 2 nights in the superior 4 poster room, which is separate from main building overlooking small lawn area.
on arrival(we were 45 mins early) we were met and taken into the lounge room offered tea or coffee and asked to fill out a quick form(2 mins).we sat in front of a lovely open fire. after a few mins we were taken to our room. this was very spacious with antique furniture a gorgeous 4 poster bed and perfect fully tiled bathroom suite with shower and jacuzzi bath with built in lcd tv to watch while relaxing in bath and molton brown products.
the room was immaculate and just perfect.we paid £100 a night but i feel as a birthday treat this was well worth the money.
the staff are courteous and helpfull, the hotel is gorgeous and our short stay perfect.parking was just outside hotel for us but very very quite dead end road so thats fine.breakfast was great with a vast variety of different types from fruit salads, cereals, jams and a fantastic cooked breakfast.my girlfriend had the fruit salad and cooked breakfast.i would say the walk to city centre is around 5 mins down hill.there is a pathway through so ask where that is otherwise it's along way round by road.biggest problem we had was tv remote in bathroom worked intermittently.i mention this more to show just how perfect the stay was as this was the only thing i could think of as a negative :) .
i think our stay was great and they deserve the rating i have given.i cannot fault anything. my girlfriend said on our way home to me that the hotel was perfect. that says it all i think.
Room Tip: please save a little bit more and take the superior four poster garden room,it really is perfect.we...
