My friend and I decided on a girly shopping weekend in Bath and fancied a little luxury thrown in for good measure!! I did my research and mainly due to the Spa facilities I decided to book the Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel.
I managed to get a good price (£200 each for 2 nights bed and full english breakfast) and we were very much looking forward to our stay.
On arrival we were greeted by extremely professional and friendly concierge who helped us with our bags and then offered to park my car for me - have never had the luxury of this service before so was very impressed!!
Check in was faultless and our bags were swifly delivered to our room.
The room itself was a twin room overlooking the garden which was very nice and very clean (room 405).
Beds were comfy and there was plenty of room for 2 girls, our over night bags, several outfits and all the shopping bags we accumulated during our stay!!
Breakfast was delicious, stunning selection of fruit and pastries and the cooked breakfast was served on piping hot plates - yum!
The best part of the whole stay for us was the hotel's spa facilities and beauty treatments. We did book our treatments before we went and were very glad as they were fully booked!! Very friendly beauticians who performed miracles!!
The pool was very clean and very nice for a few lengths before indulging in the fabulous outdoor pool - which when we went in on Saturday evening was even more magical as it was snowing!!!
The steam room was lovely, we didn't try the sauna as a bit hot for us, the beautician suggested the ice room - where you rub crushed ice all over you before showering in freezing cold water - sounds hellish but was actuallly strangely good!!
When we checked out the concierge quickly brought my car back to the front of the hotel and even packed the car with the numerous bags we had accumulated over the weekend!
All in all neither of us could fault the hotel, and when we have our next shopping trip we will definately stay here - thank you to all who made our stay a very happy one!!
Room Tip: We decided to upgrade to a twin garden view room (405) for only £10 a night more - think we were luc...
