The Library House is one of those wonderful discoveries. The attention to detail is amazing and our stay felt like visiting friends. Lizzie and Fizz (the adorable family dog) were great hosts and made our party of four felt instantly welcome.
Everywhere you look there is an interesting artefact or picture, skilfully placed, lovingly chosen. The coffee and cake on our arrival was much appreciated and after a busy day, a glass of wine went down well.
Our room (The Eliot Bedroom) was tastefully furnished with everything we could have wanted (coffee, tea, bottled water, lovely toiletries and even a few sweets). It was peaceful and quiet but afforded a peep down the short cobbled lane, across to the river and wooded hillside. Our friends fell in love with their very comfortable Milton Room.
The excellent breakfast gave us plenty of choice and was beautifully presented. Parking in the nearby car park was easy with the complimentary guest permit. How I wish that we could have stayed longer.
