We stayed 3 nights to attend sporting event. Front desk staff were excellent and restaurant staff were very helpful.
Very comfortable good sized double room with quiet aspect and very comfortable bed / pillows - (but there are no clocks or timing devices in the rooms).
Breakfast is either continental or full, both are good quality and very reasonably priced.
Car parking is at the secure local NCP about 2 mins walk away and hotel guests receive a reduced rate. Car park chip is swiped at front desk.
Room rate fluctuated from £55 midweek to £75 Saturday.
We were impressed with this hotel and it is very convenient for walking the city centre, taking the tram or other transport. Recommended.

stayed in lots of premier inns, always good value for money, this was our worse experience,
salted peanuts under the bed for both nights and very suspicious hairs in the baths which i didnt see till i was in the shower!!, wouldnt stay here again although it is a fab location, St Marys Gate is much better!!

Stayed for two nights, Saturday/Sunday, and had a mixed experience. Check-in went smoothly and we had a room on the first floor at the back of the hotel, which was certainly quiet.

We returned to our room on the Sunday at 14.00 to find the room hadn't be cleaned so we decided to eat lunch at the hotel. This proved to be a mistake; initially we were seated in the bar area, and in the subdued light we didn't realise that we picked a table with soaking wet seats. The waitress said that liquid was spilt earlier so why these seats/table weren't either removed or taken out of commission we don't know; a wet bum doesn't enhance the dining experience. We ordered fish & chips and my wife had peas with hers. The peas arrived cold and the fish & chips seemed undercooked, so we complained and despite a curt response in fairness didn't pay for one of the meals, but there was no apology for either incident.

Getting back to the room the bed was made, but the bin wasn't emptied, the carpet hadn't been vacuumed and we also had to request a toilet roll. Very poor housekeeping.

Location is close to Castle Square tram stop but is really on the edge of the city centre.

We stayed in this hotel when going to Sheffield to see the Strictly Come Dancing tour and it was excellent. It is only about 3-4 minutes walk to the tram stop which takes you directly to the Sheffield Arena or Meadowhall. The food in the hotel was excellent and the rooms were very comfortable. I would recommend Premier Inns to anyone.
