stayed here on new years eve after enjoying the dinner dance. rooms are adequate without being luxurious, no breakfast was on offer as it was new years day. although this was highlighted to us when we booked i was a little disappointed after all it is still a hotel on new years day!!
overall we got a good deal to stay overnight thus eliminating the need for costly and unreliable taxis. would i stay again? if the need arose yes but it would benefit from a facelift, a rather tired appearance overall

This hotel is badly signposted and with very poor parking. We arrived for an overnight stay and wish we hadn't bothered. Could not find reception and then ate in the bar, food was dire but we had a long journey to get there so needed something. I could still taste the greasy burger two hours later!! The room was clean but rust stains on the bath and cracks in the furniture, not a great look.
Whoever designed a function room over hotel rooms! The function was so loud and the doors were open but a few ear plugs sorted that out, thank goodness. Shame about the staff shouting outside our room at 7am and waking us. Breakfast okay but sausages inedible.
Do not want to stay again.

Arrived early and was allowed to book in. Room comfortable. Rather noisy at night but that was because there was a Xmas party on and we were disappointed as we could not eat in the hotel as planned (well we could have but it would have been about 21:30 before we got food). Great real ale pub (New Barrack Tavern) just round the corner. Live music on the Saturday.
Slept well and breakfast was good with plenty tea and coffee.
Would stay again.

Stayed at this hotel overnight on the 10th December. Very pleased with the room, a large well presented room. Clean and bright. Breakfast was cooked to order, not kept on a hotplate. For the price we paid good value as well.
