We stayed overnight for a graduation meeting. We booked a double room three months early for £64 including breakfast. This is exception value. The receptionist was welcoming and the room was fine. The hotel is ten minutes walk from the station but we used a taxi because we did not know that. The taxi went by the by-pass. We needed a map to find everything in the city. For lunch I had the hotel's 'hand cut' ham with cheese sandwich for £6.50.Unfortunately the ham was the usual damp thin machine sliced material. Avoid it. Breakfast is a generous buffet. Later we learned that it was possible to order fried eggs, omelettes or boiled eggs too.

One night stay to attend Sheffield arena, easy to find but sat nav gives different road name on the post code, but a call to the Hotel solved that. Subsidised parking in secure multi storey adjacent with private entrance to hotel area.
Girl on check in could do with a personality, everything seemed a chore to her but different girl on check out was the cheerful character you expect.
From the outside the hotel looks a dillapidated run down building, this is actually made worse by the vacant derelict petrol forecourt which adjoins the property.
Once inside the mood changes slightly, with a decent modern reception area.
A recent poster complained about the speed of the lifts??? if thats what you complain about then you must lead a lonely life.
Lifts were fine, rooms were clean and tidy with tea coffee and clean towels. Deco was ok but who cares you are only sleeping there, beds where comfy and clean (agree about all pillow comments though).
Hot and cold taps not identified so I ended up brushing my teeth with the hot water tap,and when it was finally sussed, the hot water took an age to come through the taps
Breakfast was second to none I have had in the UK, resteraunt staff where helpfull and constantly on the move, A choice of eggs cooked fresh while you wait was unique to me in buffet resteraunts.
The biggest let down was the dining chairs where filthy and worn.
All in all the hotel served a purpose and I would use this place again.

we stayed at the park inn as we were going to a concert at the arena. this hotel was near to the city centre and tram travel, it was clean and met all our requirements-tea, coffee, clean towels, clean bathroom etc. the only bad point was the pillows they were like bricks! the breakfast was good and the staff extremely helpful, would definately stay again.

Basically you pay for what you get. The Park Inn brand under the Radisson umbrella, I had never stayed in before but as soon as you enter the hotel first impressions are that it is very tired. Sorry to the previous reviewer but the fixtures and fittings did not show the Radisson 'quality'... really dated and old scruffy rooms, lits that took ages to arrive etc. It was reasonably clean though, and staff were very helpful.

On arriving at the room allocated, however, we noticed the smell of smoke and it was pretty awful - reception promptly arranged for us to change rooms though. The one thing I have to report was the pillows - the ones on the bed were half the standard size - I thought we had been given cushions under pillowcases! So we looked for more pillows in the wardrobe - which there were some... but without the pillowcases I saw the true state of them - absolutely covered in years' worth of saliva stains - really really disgusting.

That's all I have to say. Wouldn't ever stay here again.
