We stayed here for New Year's Eve, in one of the four poster rooms. The room was a nice size, and the bed was HUGE and wonderfully comfortable. The bathroom was also a nice size, with a bath and shower above it. The only real negative was that the toilet roll holder was broken, and kept falling off, but this was forgiveable given the standard of the rest of the room.

Christian's Restaurant is also highly recommended, which is reachable through reception (although not part of the hotel, so you can't charge your bill to your room).

I recently stayed at The Beauchief for a friends wedding that took place at The Christians and adjoined to this place. Nice hotel in a pleasant setting. The staff at check in were great and the room that we stayed in was more than comfortable. Had a little trouser press in the room and the iron/ironing board were on request. Not really much more to say about this stay other than it was value for money and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night just as a quiet get away. We are from sheffield anyway so know the area and knew we weren't going to be near the city centre as a few reviews have complained about.
Arrived in the evening, greeted by prompt and friendly service. Decor was nice, but could have done with a bit of a lick of paint in corridors. Room was lovely, enormous and comfy bed! Bathroom could have done with an update but it was clean and shower was good. We couldn't connect to the free wi fi in the room but that was fine, besides, it was clearly stated that the signal is not as strong in the rooms.

We didn't have breakfast delivered to our room but thought this was a nice touch. Room was cold when we arrived but soon warmed up when we turned on the heating. Our room overlooked the car park and entrance, no issue with noise though.

Overall a lovely hotel, and we would return. Definately recommend for a weekend away. Good bus links to the city too.

The location between town and stunning Peak District was perfect for our needs. The cost was very fair and the room was clean and spacious with good en suite facilities. It was extremely quiet so we enjoyed a very good night's sleep in good quality bedding. As we knew about breakfast being extra and continental in advance we made our own arrangements. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Reception staff were friendly and informative We would certainly return if we needed this location
