“Not one of the best travelodges...but ok!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

Have stayed in a quite a few Travelodges or similar and to be fair its not one of the greatest. Bit shabby round the edges and room is basic. Fine for a one night stop over (and I only paid £12 in the sale so probably got what I paid for!) due to the central location (right next to Broadmead shopping mall, town centre shops and 5 mins from train station and The Oracle). This does however mean it is a bit noisy but wouldn't say its as bad as some of the other reviews have stated.

“Never ever stay here unless you really have to!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 December 2011

I had the displeasure of staying at this hotel last night, firstly the reception is tired and dirty, it made me think this must be what its like to stay in a young offenders center, the room didn't get any better as it was dirty, old and not somewhere I’d want to spend any time, in addition the room over looked a dual carriage way the noise level from the dual carriage due to the rubbish single glazing was like sleeping beside the road. My only advice on this hotel is only stay here if you have to.

Room Tip: Don't.

“beware,lots of noise”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011

I've stayed in lots of travelodge's around the country, and by far this has been the noisiest. It is situated overlooking a major dual carriageway, which still had lots of traffic through the night. The room was as you expect from travelodge, clean and comfortable, but looked a bit tired, in fact I think the whole hotel could do with a bit of sprucing up, was very run down. Nearest car park 5 mins walk away, although you do get a voucher to help with cost. Plus side, i only paid £ 29 for the night. Desk staff were helpful with a couple of unrelated issues

“Heavy sleepers only”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2011

Room overlookied the inner ring road, and lots of road noise was heard through the badly sealed window, I had to buy some silicon ear plugs to cancel out the noise. This was also the case in the hallway, where again the seals around the windows were non existant.

Did not try breakfast as it was a paper bag with a tub of cereal, a carton of milk, bottle of orange and a croissant delivered to your room. Went to the high street to grab a sandwich and coffee instead.

“Good hotel for the night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

If you are just looking for a hotel to stop in over night then this is good. It obviously doesnt have any luxuries but it is good.
Unfortunately the lift was not working and we had to climb a few flights of stairs which is fun after a night out! but it was fine.
The room is very big, it had a TV and some plug sockets. The bathroom was also big and had a shower over bath which was ok. The bed was big and quite comfy.
