We were greeted by the charming owner on arrival and shown to a well-appointed, stylish room at the front of the building. The large bed was very comfortable, the linen was crisp and good quality and the tasteful furnishings in the bedroom were just lovely. Add to this a spotless ensuite with contemparary fixtures and fittings, a delicious breakfast and a great location and you'll understand why we are more than happy to rate our stay as excellent.

We stayed over Christmas to be close to my mother ( in a flat in Woodstock ) . Room was good a well looked after throughout . There was also a family Christmas atmosphere . So much better than a hotel could have been .

We arrived early as we were guests for a wedding and were glad to be able to access our room and leave our things. The room was stylish and well equipped,clean and comfortable. everyone was charming and breakfast was good and hot. Location is very central and this makes a very pleasant base in the area.

As I know the owners check these reviews, I'll put my one slight suggestion first - we think the check-in time of 4 pm is too late. Visiting the area from some distance, we would have liked to check in around 2 pm, or at the latest 3 pm, in order to make sure the room's what we're expecting, drop our bags, then relax and wander out to the delightful town. Yes, we were able to leave our car in their car park with a note on it as to who we were, but even so, we'd have preferred to be able to speak to someone to make sure that was OK. We did try to find someone at that time, but there was no-one around.
Niggle over! We had a perfectly nice room (2), with everything we needed - it's at the front, but we certainly didn't notice the traffic (and we have no traffic at home!). Everywhere was clean and comfortable, the owners were very pleasant and helpful, breakfast was good. And Woodstock is a really lovely little town, in a beautiful area.
