“Great base to explore Oxford from”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

Great city centre location on the high street if a little difficult to get to when driving. Get a room at the front on the top floor for a great view of. The dreaming spires but at the back if you want some peace and quite.

The rooms are a little tired in places and the residents lounge needs a complete rethink (see covent garden hotel to see how its done) dark unwelcoming and uncomfortable.

Breakfast excellent, plenty of choice and good quility, service was also excellent. We had a meeting we needed to get to and they managed to serve our lunch in the restaurant within 15 minutes.

I dont like unisex toilets especially and im pretty sure your female guests won't either.

“Excellent Hotel in Oxford”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

We stayed for three nights very recently and this proved a very good decision
Very conveniently located , free parking , free WiFi and quite outstanding staff . The management certainly have their staff selection/training perfect - we received nothing other than courteous and helpful service from all staff with useful advice offered on a visit to Oxford.
I had trouble with connection to my lap top and a staff member spent considerable time and effort to get the problem sorted
Room was quite spacious - only concern was street noise at night. Restaurant - busy and alive , good service and food
The walking tour provided at no charge by the hotel was outstanding and the guide (Elizabeth) added to the pleasure of the visit to Oxford
Can thoroughly recommend this hotel

“Lovely hotel in heart of Oxford”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

Stayed here over new year. The staff are very nice, friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served in Quod, their adjoining restaurant which was great - choice of fry ups, continental, self-serve fruit etc.
The room was medium sized, with usual comforts (except there was no fridge other than stocked mini-bar, although you could call and ask them to bring milk). If I had to critise it I would say that it was far too hot - we slept with the windows open which is frankly very energy inefficient in Winter (yes there was a heating-control, but the whole hotel is over-heated)!
Price was high, but Oxford is expensive and it was a v good hotel.

“Lovely”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

Lovely hotel, perfectly situated on the High Street, boutique flair to it, but friendly and personable service throughout. Rooms are plush though not huge - nevertheless very comfortable, highly recommended. Breakfast was included in my deal and it turned out to be a very good breakfast indeed, one of the best hotel breakfasts I have had in a long while.

“Welcoming- friendly -central”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We wondered about booking The Randolph but opted for this and did not regret it. This is a friendly and personal hotel and does not charge for car parking. We stayed for 3 nights on a weekend break and you can walk around the centre of Oxford easily from here. All the staff are friendly and professional. We went on the guided walk with the hotel guide and a few other guests and their guide, David, was interesting and informative. We would return there and would recommend it to our friends.

Room Tip: We had a standard room and that was perfect for us.
