“Just perfect!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

Stayed here for two nights in November and found this to be the perfect place to stay in Cotswolds. It is located just outside Burford with it's pubs, shops etc. The location is also good thinking of outdoors. You can either start walking from there or drive to near-by towns and villages. The closest pub is just few steps away.
We really felt like staying at home. The rooms were beautifully decorated and the breakfast was good but what we liked the most was the friendly hostess. She made us feel very welcome and was very helpful. If I will travelling to the area again, I will definetely stay in Cotland House again.

“Nice!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2011

Beautiful house, peaceful location (views of the country-side in the distance from bedroom windows), very nice owners and delicious and beautifully presented breakfast! About 10 minutes walk to High Street and another 5 more minutes uphill to the Swanbrook bus-stop (B&B and Swanbrook bus-stop are on opposite ends of high street) where you can catch the bus to Oxford or Cheltenham.

I enjoyed my stay here!

“Perfect Cotswold cottage”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 August 2011

We enjoyed 3 night stay here in July 2011 and found cotland house a comfy retreat to return to each night after exploring the Cotswold villages.
Our room was comfy and had ensuite shower. Our bed was a standard double size as expected, but mattress had a ‘dip in the middle’ – so the lighter person rolls into the center of the bed and sleep not perfect.
Breakfast however was delicious and served in a smart breakfast area. A cooked breakfast is included, and I don’t mean a greasy fry-up, but perfect poached eggs etc – very delicious!
We chose this B&B for its location and this did not disappoint. Burford is a charming village to wander around, with lots of pubs for lunch or dinner.
Another benefit of this B&B, is a pub (more like a restaurant) that is literally a few steps from the B&B. No problem if you both want to have a few drinks with dinner as its just a few steps back to the B&B! We ate their one night and food was delicious & fairly (although not cheaply) priced and good value for money.

“Bliss in Burford”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 July 2011

Just returned from a 2 day break in Burford, I had picked Cotland House after reading the reviews on tripadvisor, how glad am I that I did!!

It is everything previous people have said and more, it is the only place I have ever stayed in (apart from family) where I have felt that I could walk round the room barefoot.... It was spotless, everything was crisp and white with lovely little touches everywhere, we stayed in the top room which had a claw footed bath, which we used to full effect ! A nice long soak after a day at the Fairford airshow, we ate in the indian in burford and the pub 2 doors down, both meals were lovely... but not a patch on the beautiful breakfasts we enjoyed each day. Nothing seemed too much trouble and everything was done with a smile and a chat.
I would not hesitate to recommend this b and b, it is well worthy of all the praise that is heaped on it.
shelly and tim seem a lovely couple and we will definitely be staying again next year (already reserved!)
