Stayed for one night and booked it mainly because the room was reasonably priced and the location was ideal for a nearby business meeting. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and the room ("Fairfax") was fine being clean, warm and comfortable. Free wi-fi is available to guests and this worked very well. No bar meals were available other than at lunchtime and the a la carte restaurant menu prices would not have gone down well with my employer!
As another reviewer has pointed out the hotel does not start serving breakfast until 8am and I needed to leave before then; this is something I should have checked before I booked! Not sure I've ever stayed anywhere before that start serving that late. Also, upon leaving just after 7am, I discovered that the reception area was in darkness; a key is provided in order that one may escape via a side door however this seemed very odd!
In conclusion this hotel may be ideal for certain guests but as for myself it'll probably be the Travelodge the next time I stay in Burford.
