Stayed on business for one night. Used the meal deal which includes a three course dinner and full English breakfast for total £81. Dinner menu had 4 starters, 7 mains and about 5 desserts so plenty of choice. Chose pate, fish & chips and belgian waffles with cream and chocolate sauce (plus a glass of house wine was included). Waitress (Gemma) was efficient, friendly and not obtrusive, but was alert to when people had finished a course and cleared quickly but not too quickly. Everything about the hotel is good, very friendly and warm welcome from the receptionist, clean room (standard size) one large double bed, plus a single bed, bathroom very clean and shower not overly powerful but adequate and warmed up quickly. All the staff I met were pleasant, smiling and able to hold an intelligent conversation. Plenty to eat at breakfast (buffet style, eat as much as you want), waitress took time to show me where everything was and offered additional choices (porridge or omelettes).
I did notice a bit of noise from the trams so if you are a light sleeper ask for a room at the back. The air conditioning is easy to use and very effective, got the room temperature just right.
The only issue I have and it's not something the hotel can help is that there is limited parking so I had to use the nearby car park 5 minutes walk away, and the cost overnight was £14 which adds another 17% to what would have been a very competitive price deal. If you are staying then always check the hotel car park first as it could save you a lot of money.
I will certainly stay here again.
