“An overall good experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 February 2012

Had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The room lived upto the usual Premier Inn standard. The hotel has a pleasant Costa Coffee outlet at ground level and a bar. Overall the service was good but it was let down by a few surly staff, but not so bad that it affected my stay. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the centre and right beside the University. I had no issues with noise disruption whatsoever. My main gripe would be that they charge for the wifi access. During my visit to Nottingham I also stayed at the 'Days Inn' Hotel which is cheaper, better located and has free wired internet access. Between the two the 'Days Inn' was a better hotel.

I have to add that we requested a late check out time of 1400 and this was accommodated at a reasonable fee, which I thought was really good.

“Good value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Nice quiet hotel which had everything I needed for my 3 day stay. Felt safe and comfortable. Good food in the restaurant was also a bonus so I didnt feel the need to eat out in the evening.

Room Tip: The 4th floor was a good quiet spot to be

My husband and I had travelled up to nottingham with are 9 month old grandchild to vist family and we needed a hotel that had good access to buses and trams and found this hotel to be great for them reasons also the hotel had the most helpful staff we had ever come across. The room we had was laid out so that you can bring a small child or baby for a stay their without any problems. My husband and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The bar and cafe were very nice and the food was excellent.

“Great value hotel shame about the parking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Stayed on business for one night. Used the meal deal which includes a three course dinner and full English breakfast for total £81. Dinner menu had 4 starters, 7 mains and about 5 desserts so plenty of choice. Chose pate, fish & chips and belgian waffles with cream and chocolate sauce (plus a glass of house wine was included). Waitress (Gemma) was efficient, friendly and not obtrusive, but was alert to when people had finished a course and cleared quickly but not too quickly. Everything about the hotel is good, very friendly and warm welcome from the receptionist, clean room (standard size) one large double bed, plus a single bed, bathroom very clean and shower not overly powerful but adequate and warmed up quickly. All the staff I met were pleasant, smiling and able to hold an intelligent conversation. Plenty to eat at breakfast (buffet style, eat as much as you want), waitress took time to show me where everything was and offered additional choices (porridge or omelettes).

I did notice a bit of noise from the trams so if you are a light sleeper ask for a room at the back. The air conditioning is easy to use and very effective, got the room temperature just right.

The only issue I have and it's not something the hotel can help is that there is limited parking so I had to use the nearby car park 5 minutes walk away, and the cost overnight was £14 which adds another 17% to what would have been a very competitive price deal. If you are staying then always check the hotel car park first as it could save you a lot of money.

I will certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for room at the back if a light sleeper to avoid tram noise which starts at about 05.45 in the m...

“Met all our needs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

We stayed here for the weekend when I took my boyfriend away for his birthday to a gig at the Arena. Hotel was easy to find and although the car park was already full when we arrived at 5pm we easily found our way to the Talbot Street car park. Reception staff were very helpful, room was spacious and clean and bed was really comfy. The hotel is in a great location for walking into town whilst also being far enough away to avoid any noise. Would definitely stay here again.
