My partner and I have just returned from a 2 night stay at this hotel. For the money I would defiantly recommend. It is just outside the city centre and in a very good location. We got a taxi into the centre because it was freezing and it cost us £4.70. The taxi company we used were called DG cars and were very efficient. We had a bad nights sleep the first night but this was purely down to noisy neighbours (we reported it to reception at 2am)!! They were very sorry but its not the hotels fault - thankfully they werent staying for the 2nd night and the 2nd nights sleep was much better. The reception staff are all very friendly and helpful. If you opt for breakfast it is provided at the 'Beefeater' resturaunt next door and is very good. We also ate at the resturaunt both nights as nice and conveinient, Friday night service was fantastic however 45 minutes after ordering on Saturday night, we were still waiting for our food. The waitress came over to tell us that our order had been lost in the kitchen and it would be another 15 mins. She did however knock £10 off our bill. Overall a good hotel - we would stay again.
