Just came back from a one night stay. Couldn't wait to get home. Receptionist on arrival was awful. She was so rude. Think her name was jennifer. Not at all welcoming , I am a hotel manager and would be disgusted if my team where as un welcoming as her. Upon enerong the room it was clean the decor shabbyred paint from the Walls was on the skirtin. Boards . Bathroom had no bath and shower was blocked up o reported and it was fixed imediatly there was about 50 cigarette ends in in ewwww. The double bed was 1 single beds pushed together with a paper thin duvet. Not comfortable. The carpet in the room was heavily soiled which matched the filthy corridor carpets. I used the pool area but changing rooms were filthy and stairs leading down to pool area were also scruffy. The bar ladtwas not present and I waited 17min to be served I had to go into the kitchen area to seek her!!!! She was very miserable with no manors. The young lady at breakfast however was lovely al smiles and very helpful. Breakfast was what you would expect a varierty however not great the scrambled egg was watery. I use the park inn Manchester regulary and it's ten times better than this one the staff are faultless and hotel is immaculate. I will never ever stay in or recommen. This hotel to anyoneyour far better paying an extra £10 and staying at the marriot !!!!pls avoid!!!!

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights to celebrate being together a year. The check in was smooth and we was issued two rooms keys. The lift is room key operated. Our room was big with a king size bed, flat screen TV on the wall, free chocolates and water. The bathroom is a shower only room and was not a bad size, The hotel does have a gym and pool but we did not use these.

The restaurant is excellent we had dinner and we had three courses for 17.95 I highly recommend the chicken, leek and ham pie it was gorgeous. The bar had football on and the bar was busy. When we arrived back late 10.45 the bar was shutting and my partner and I wanted a after dinner drink they opened the bar for us a large glass of white wine and a JD and coke cost 10.55.

The hotel has a Lidl a 2 minute walk away and a pub opposite it. It took my partner half an hour to drive to Sherwood Forest and 20 minutes to get to Nottingham castle.

One thing to point out the hotel is on a main road and if you had a room on the road it could be very noisy. The hotel car park is an underground and overground car park which you have to have a security no to exit,

All in all I would recommend this hotel to all.

I was part of a party who had booked a mixture of 6 rooms for between 1 and 3 nights. The staff went out of their way to be unhelpful! Wrong rooms, There seemed to be no co ordination and it was all hit & miss.

People enquiring at the reception desk were given better room rates so I have a piece of advice. Pre book by all means but when you arrive just pretend you're a new arrival. Enquire re. price and if you get a better deal then take it. Immediately afterwards cancel the pre booked room. This applies upto 6 p.m. on the reservation day.

The room we stayed in - both the sink & shower outlet were blocked. Whened this was reported it was as if I had asked them to book me a taxi to the moon. They weren't remotely interested. I won't be staying there again.

This is a fairly good hotel in Nottingham. It is outside of the city centre which isn't quite ideal. It is very good value and the rooms are reasonable quality. The food is good, and as usual the Park Inn Breakfast is superb. Don't expect frills, but it is better than most budget options.
