The Peak District is a lovely place and this B&B is situated amongst the gorgeous country-side. Our room (the striped room) was large and had a very nice bathroom. Some of the decor could be updated but it was very nice - biscuits, fruit, tea and coffee were all supplied in our room each day. We had great breakfasts there too and the owners/staff were really friendly. It's about 20mins to Ashbourne on winding country roads. There looked to be a few nice pubs in the area too. We thought it was a good base to explore the Peak District.

Great rural location in peak district enjoyed the drive to B&B and walk around the area. Breakfast was great. Owners very friendly and helpful. Rooms are huge and quiet location. Would stay here again!

Spent last night at Stanshope Hall and had a wonderful time. Myself, my partner and a few other friends rented the 3 available rooms and enjoyed every minute. Our room was the smaller of the 3 (the twin) but still very quaint with a separate toilet and separate bathroom all with a garden view which was quite serene. This morning we woke and met for a sumptious breakfast which included cereal, toast, full english, ample tea and coffee etc. All to a high standard, as well as this we found the staff very friendly and helpful. We would definately choose this lovely retreat again and suggest you try it too!! :)

Love this place. Have stayed on several occasions and will keep going back for more. Beautiful building in a perfect setting. I have stayed in all 3 of the bedrooms over the last year and all our beautifully furnished and generous in size. Only improvement would be if the owners could install showers which I prefer to a bath. Breakfasts are delicious and the welcome and service is first class.
