We went to York for a winter break and had a brilliant time, the area was lovely there were so many shops and the streets were amazing. Cobbled pavements, crooked buildings, cosey pubs and lovely tea rooms. Hotel was very modern, clean and tidy. Will definintely be going back and staying at the same hotel maybe this year!

From experience unless i've missed something (or just been lucky) i really can't understand how this hotel is only ranked 25th out of 47 hotels in York,it's in a good location 5 mins walk from the town centre,overnight parking for a tenner just over the road,quick check in,friendly staff,small rooms but very modern and spotlessly clean,had a great nights sleep,second time we've stayed and absolutely no complaints.....weird !!

Enjoyed a 2 night stay at this modern hotel.
Room nicely decorated,comfortable and warm, especially appreciated as it was very cold when we visited York.
Bed very comfortable, only problem was other guest coming back drunk on both nights (2am and 1am) because walls and doors are thin, and we were woken by noise.
We payed a discounted rate through laterooms, so were happy with the price (would not have been had we paid full price).
Booked breakfast which was good.
Would definitely return.

The fact that its right across the street from the Travelodge is even more amusing.... This is a High Quality Budget Hotel. The Rates are great - the rooms are very clean and the hotel is clearly concerned about its reputation as they were painting everywhere when we were there and the staff were very helpful. The rooms were fairly basic but clean and very modern. When we thought something could be better we remembered what we'd paid and that we were getting good value for our money compared to across the road!.....
