We have stayed in lots of B&B this year and this one is the worst. The weekend was only just saved by the helpfull male owner.

The bedroom [ no 3 ] was so so small and the ensuite even smaller. Forget washing in the sink it was too small.
Very bad night sleep as the springs were comming through the bed [ I now notice on this site thats been said before ]] We complained and they said they did have a new matress but had not had time to put on. We insisted they did for the 2nd night. Which they did.

Felt very awkward at breakfast time as on two mornings running there was no where to sit. 9 bedrooms and 5 tables !!!!!!!!! . Felt rushed to leave by 10 the following morning.
Noisy at times.

Good location but thats about all.

in need of a complete over haul, small rooms, need a clean, small breakfast servings, bed springs sticking out of mattress, not good for the back, did mention this , said its a new mattress , it may have been new 10 years ago . the owners where friendly enough ,
only ever seen the manager,

Very nice, chatty owners and a nice clean B/B within walking distance from York centre but stipulate you don`t want room 3 as it was really a small single room with a double bed sqeezed into it. Other doubles on same floor looked fine though !!

Stayed for one night. We had the superior room on the top floor. Lovely room but quite small because of room being in the attic space. Nicely decorated.
