My Boyfriend and I stayed at the Holme Lea Manor for 2 nights for my birthday last November, and we were both extremely impressed with the hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable, and there was everything we needed in our room for a short break. The jacuzzi bath and four poster bed were a real treat, and I think that the cost of the room was extremely reasonable.
The Holme Lea Manor was a short walk to York centre, which was extremely convenient as we could walk off the fantastic english breakfast before a day of sightseeing around York. We are already planning on returning to York for a long weekend this summer, and will most definately be booking in at the Holme Lea Manor again

Stayed here the nights of 2nd & 3rd Feb '12, booked the bridal suite as a treat, and my what a treat it was indeed! Managed to park at the hotel, just be warned there are only 6 parking bays. We received a very warm welcome, and got the impression that nothing would be to much trouble. The room was fantastic, clean, airy, well decorated and the bathroom was huge, plus the bed had the most comfortable mattress I have slept on. Breakfast was served without any fuss, it was hot, tasty and more than enough, they didn't bat an eyelid when we both asked to swap the black pudding for a hash brown instead. We have been to York a couple of times now and this is by far the best accommodation we have stayed in and what made this even better is the fact that you are less than a 10 minute walk to the town centre, we would definately stay here again. We only have 2 critisims, the plates the breakfast was served on were stone cold, the 2nd would be the lack of TV channels, only 5 available. Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Stayed 27th and 28th, stay was excellent, was offered an alternative room as we checked in because a booking couldn't make it but the room we had was clean, spacious with a window looking into the hallway.

Staff were friendly and chatty, breakfast was a good full english and alternatives were available, car park was full so I was directed to the private drive so the car was off the street.

Highly recommended, handy for the town (about 10 minute walk) nice quite area, will be staying again.

I stayed here with a friend during a short trip to York.
We stayed in one of the main bedrooms as it was the only one left last minute, it was a gorgeous room with a lovely open tub and shower room. Very spacious and well decorated.
The breakfasts were also good, although I'd have liked a few more teas and coffees in the room, as there was a kettle but only a few sachets during the stay and I drink a lot of hot drinks.
Lovely getaway, and only a 5 minute work to the centre.
